Help Free the Oppressed Iranian Women & Families
On September 16, 2022, 22-year-old Mahsa Amini was pronounced dead three days after being detained by Iran’s notorious “morality police” for alleged violations of the Islamic Republic's strict dress code.
Her death sparked the biggest protests in Iran in years.
Young women and girls have defiantly removed their Islamic headscarves, or hijabs, in standoffs with the security forces. Thousands of others have joined them in fierce protests that have left scores more dead and thousands seriously injured.
Our nonprofit, Help Free Iran, is dedicated to collaboration with other like-minded teams in the effort to bring attention to and assist the oppressed people of Iran.
Who We Are
We are a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that aims to unite and collaborate with Iranians and non-Iranians alike in the effort to create a democratic Iran, free of authoritarian rule, corruption, inequality, economic turmoil, human rights violations, and religious doctrine. We come together from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Our skilled team of professionals is the backbone of Help Free Iran.
Our Mission
Help Free Iran exists to collaborate and help create a free, secular, democratic Iran, where everyone can live freely and prosper regardless of gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, or religion.
Our Vision
We are part of the united front representing and amplifying the voice of all oppressed Iranians fighting for freedom. We aim to achieve our mission through strategic and tactical activism, fundraising, public relations, education, peaceful demonstrations, and digital media.
Where Our Funds Go
We are raising funds to heighten awareness and ensure media coverage of the events in Iran. Our intent is to be a voice for the voiceless by drawing the attention of major North American news networks. We aim to create a massive and ongoing awareness of the situation and urge North Americans to join in the effort to Help Free Iran.
Goal: $500,000
We need to educate the American and Canadian governments to respond quickly and more forcefully to the Islamic Republic of Iran. We are in the process of gathering 1 million signatures to petition the U.S. Congress and the Canadian Parliament to increase sanctions and economic pressures on the Islamic Republic. we also need money for attorneys to file lawsuits against the Islamic republic regime's sons and daughters who live in united state, Canada and Europe.
Goal: $200,000
The Iranian people need to communicate and have access to the outside world. A robust, safe, and independent VPN (Virtual Private Network) is badly needed for the resistance. We are providing a free, robust, scalable, and secure VPN to the demonstrators in Iran now. We need more support to expand its user base. Our team is working to enhance the FreeIranVPN to work even better in Iran in response to the IRI’s use of Chinese technology to monitor protestors. This capability will allow Iranians to access outside information and to communicate without government censorship. We are also talking to Google and Microsoft about adopting the strongest means possible to combat the IRI’s Chinese technology.
Goal: $300,000
What a Free Iran Means for the United States
We stand at one of the most significant and exciting turning points in recent history—the end to nearly a half century of domestic injustice and international hooliganism on the part of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
A free and democratic Iran will not be not ruled by radical extremist religious ideologues.
The brave people of Iran are demanding change. They demand a democratically elected, secular government. This would be of immense benefit to the United States and the rest of the free world in a number of ways:
-
Regime change in Iran will ensure a sea of change in the politics of the region and the balance of global power in favor of the West.
-
Preparation of elections for a Constituent Assembly to draft a new constitution—modeled on the conventions of separation of powers, rule of law, respect for fundamental rights, and obligation to respect international law—would prevent the reemergence of a rogue state such as the current regime.
-
The cancellation of Iran’s nuclear program, the root of so many tensions in the world
-
Restoration of diplomatic relations with all the western and democratic countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, UK, and Israel
-
Reaffirmation of Iran’s commitment to the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
-
Application to join the WTO, thereby confirming its commitment to the free market economy
-
Iran’s rejoining the West in its political, financial, and industrial orientation will be a game-changer in global politics. The current regime is the target of draconian sanctions by the U.S., EU, and the UN, imposed in response to Iran’s egregious terrorist activities and violations of fundamental human rights.
